In the business of celebrating love, we’re humbled to be tasked with the utmost responsibility of lifting women for the most important day of their lives. Often inspired by the beauty of the ladies who come to us, the grace and individuality of everyone is often more than skin deep.

This International Women’s Day, we speak to some of the amazing ladies we had the privilege to dress up for, as they share with us their thoughts and vision for women in today’s world.



Jophia Chua - Space stylist/ Entrepreneur

The one half that builds up Hellofromflour, Jophia and her team has been helping couples transform their wedding space with a unique experience that narrates a story. Often seen hustling before and after an event takes place, the petite build of the mother to two young children always seems to have an endless supply of stamina and burst of energy.

Setting herself up in a physically demanding profession while fitting into different roles through the day, Jophia sees that the strength of a woman is indeed unmeasurable. The mental strength of a woman is beyond the capacity that one can fathom.

I hope women can be more forgiving towards ourselves. Let’s try not also doubt our own abilities and remember to also celebrate our accomplishments.

Liew Jia Yi - Arts Practitioner/ Educator

A familiar figure in the Arts and Theatre scene, Jiayi shares a passion for the theatre, as well as working with children. Her love for performing arts has ventured her into various roles beyond an artist,- such as director, producer, and facilitator of such.

Drawing inspiration all around, Jiayi recalls her recent encounter with an elderly women in the drama class she taught. Having shared her life experience, her resilience in the face of adversities greatly inspired her.

I love that women are equipped with qualities that are fundamentally different from men. It is not a power struggle, but a recognition of the unique strengths found in every gender, and harnessing them in every day life during the interactions with other fellow human beings.

Angie Teo - Entrepreneur

Having started her first business venture in her late teens, Angie co-founded El Print Pte Ltd with her now husband, Kelvin. A typical day for the pretty young mother hovers between overseeing the daily operation of their printing company, and spending time with their adorable two year old.

Having to take up multiple roles in life and giving in 100% at each of these roles is no easy feat for all women alike, and Angie feels that besides the fact that women are generally amazing as they are, the support of their partner and loved ones around certainly helps to lift them up.

Elizabeth Chew - Florist

Founder of Liz Floral, Eliz is often seen hustling through the day between floral, and her cheery two year old daughter. A beautiful soul with a creative mind, her aesthetic sense has seen her through years of beautifying spaces for events and weddings.

Believing a woman’s strength is her selflessness when it comes to her family and children. Eliz thinks its a women’s ability to give everything to her family, without any expectation of receiving anything. When it comes to juggling work and family, Eliz hopes that women can continue to make the best of what life throws at them.

Marie Soh - Make Up Artist/ Entrepreneur

The lady boss behind 27A and Kex Society, Marie is no stranger to the beauty scene. Since her younger days, the energetic soul in her is constantly hustling to churn out fresh ideas in the market. Her strong sense of personality and compassion is probably what draws her to people around her, making her the life at every gathering.

More than that, Marie is a young mother to three adorable children, who fills her life with newfound joy and purposes. Raising a young daughter, she hopes that women can always be financially independent and savvy in their choices.

Yvette Yeo - Realtor

Previously a professional marketeer for the luxury industry, Yvette now provides real estate advisory to her clients. In the midst of juggling work and family, her cheery personality and bright smiles sees her through the days (and nights) of being a full time mother to her beautiful nine month old baby girl.

The struggle for modern working mothers to strike a balance is immerse. Being a new mum, Yvette hope that women with children can feel less guilty when they take time off for themselves, allowing themselves to recharge gives them refreshed energy to be an even better provider for their children.

Melissa Lim - Dentist

Co-founder of Figs Dental, Melissa spends her time professionally at her clinic, and her passion for delicious bakes at The Lims Kitchen, helmed by her siblings. Brought up in a close knitted family, Melissa is often surrounded by women of various strength who gives unconditionally.

With her mum being her greatest inspiration, Melissa shares that despite managing multiple tasks at work and home, she still has the ability to remember the smallest details about people she meets and treats everyone with equal importance. She is such a fighter for the people she loves and will do everything within her capabilities to support, love and care for everyone.

Brenda Tan - Artist/ Entrepreneur

The brain and hands (literally!) behind “strangely beautiful” creations Wherebilly, Brenda is a familiar face in the world of local craftsman- designing and creating beautiful pieces for ladies or anyone looking into one-of-the-kind accessories. Her love for queer and unique art spurs her intention to bring her overflowing creativity to life.

Also a mother to two adorable young girls, Brenda instills precious belief in her girls that a woman’s strength is not measured by how much hardships and sufferings she needs to face and withstand. A woman's strength is the ability to overcome them over and over again and refuse to allow her circumstances to dictate who she is and who she becomes.

Kayly Loh - Actress/ Florist

A familiar face on screen, Mediacorp Artiste Kayly Loh is also the lady boss behind her floral business, Bucket Full of Roses. Juggling two physically high demanding profession, Kayly is one to give her 101% to every engagement she is in.

Inspired by the legendary Audrey Hepburn’s generosity and zest for life, Kayly lives by a few of her words, such as “I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and... I believe in miracles." She is touched by Hepburn’s inner strength and ability to brave through life struggles, and her unapologetic nod to her beauty and fame. Perhaps this is what propelled Kayly to radiate love and life to people around with her charming personality.

Eunice Mok - Model

A budding fashion model, Eunice has fronted many of Amanda Lee’s campaign in the recent years. Though her modelling career only started a couple of years back, the young lady has landed herself in multiple shoots with various brands across the industry. With her versatile look and a physique that speaks to most women, the model based in Singapore is definitely the next thing to look out for.

As young women venturing into crafting a career of her own, Eunice believes women can be whoever she wants to be once she puts her heart into it.
