青花; qīng-huā - Chinese brocade embellished Cheongsam

Amanda has always been fascinated by the elegant colour pairing of blue and white, explaining where her inspiration came from - the traditional blue and white porcelain (Qīng Huā Cí). Apart from this beautiful design, Amanda has done a couple of renditions based on this concept in some of her past works.
Vibrantly painted blue peonies seen on the gown, were meticulously hand-painted by Amanda. You may ask, why peonies?
“Peonies exudes an aura of opulence, romance and represents a happy marriage. The colour of blue, the season of spring, depicts growth, optimism and advancement. To many, these are the basis of a happy and lasting marriage.”
Amanda has always put emphasis on wearability in all her designs. This gown in particular, inverted gathered puff sleeves were included in the design to bring the piece back to current trends - refreshing and modern.
Her concept of wearability, together with her flare embodied into her works, is definitely a uniqueness that will withstand the test of time.
Dazzle in white - Embellished bustier double organza gown
Speaking of a “fairytale princess” effect, this gown fully embodies it. There’s appliqué, beadings, and sparkles with a modern play of flounces and volume.
For a modern princess stepping out of a fairytale in this dreamy and romantic look!
“Inspiration on the silhouette of the bodice was taken from the 1950s “New Look”. Which also resembles today’s peplum. The skirt’s silhouette was inspired by the pagoda which explains the unique construction of the skirt. This gown also features a glittering veil that is attached to the gown for a further elaborate look.”
As you look closer, this pretty creation is not just an all-white gown. The little flowers, meticulously sewn on are in a beautiful sweet lilac colour. Lilac is a colour that represents femininity, gracefulness, romance and an innocence youth.
